IMPORTANT PLEASE READ
BEFORE CONDUCTING BUSINESS WITH US

Customer is responsible for proofreading and approving the final artwork. Silver Falls Engraving (‘We’) is not liable for errors in a final product caused by any of the following reasons: misspelling, graphics, grammar, punctuation, finished product size, incorrect color/material/finish selections, or overlooked details not memorialized in the details of the quote/order when the customer is provided a proof and provides acceptance (via any form, including verbal, email, text, or payment). Please be mindful that your order is a custom and made-to-order, thus once the product is completed, no more changes can be made.

A critically important element to the laser, and related, products and services we provide are quality vector graphics. It is the customer’s responsibility to provider quality graphics in a proper format, such as .EPS, .SVG, or .AI (among other vector formats). If the customer cannot provider an acceptable vector format file, then Graphic Design services will be required. We outsource this work and have a minimum charge of $30.00 for design, tracing, typesetting and/or vectorization unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Returns are not valid if the client changes his or her mind. For that reason, the product must be paid in full before work begins, unless otherwise agreed.

It is also to important to note that while we strive for excellence, use quality machinery and techniques, and utilize quality raw materials, there is still room for imperfections which are normal and not considered faulty.

  • As an example, products made from wood may have minor bark inclusions, sap spots, stress marks, knots, splinters, or other expected imperfections. Due to the nature of wood movement, shrinkage and expansion are possible. Wood is a product of nature, and as such, no two pieces are alike to start with, while the same wood growing in different locales can vary greatly even though it is the exact same species. Wood movement is normal and should be expected in all cases. Also the finish may have minor blemishes, brush strokes, ridges, foreign artifacts, and such as they are applied by hand. Finishes also have different characteristics which impact their durability, look (depth, tone) and feel. It is the customer’s full responsibility to memorialize specific finishing requests in writing on the FINAL quote/estimate/invoice.
  • As a second example, stainless tumblers may have different variations of steel under the powder coating resulting in slight color variations, minor engraving lines may show, lids may fit tight, removable adhesive from the manufacturer's original label may exist, and lids may be snug. We provide a service to engrave the tumblers only and do not warranty the tumblers beyond what our supplier can provide. Tumblers should be handled and washed per the manufacturers recommendations (usually hand wash only).
  • As a third example, acrylic is subject to minor faults or imperfections including, but not limited to, adhesive residue and/or glue marks (which clean off with plastic cleaner), minor scratches (which can usually be removed with plastic scratch remover), vertical striping on edges of cuts, small raised edges on cut lines, minor inaccuracies in start/stop meeting points, horizontal striping within engraved areas, or non-perpendicular edges on cuts (a natural result of how a laser cuts).
